Are you paying enough Attention?

I've always been an on & off Wale listener. After his Mixtape about Nothing I became a fan (*Note anything Seinfeld related get's my approval) Though I didn't listen to all of Back to the Feature; I only checked out select tracks with my favorite artists (Don't judge me). This year I've done what I haven't done in years prior, I actually bought music *Gasp* along the long list of music I legally paid for was Wale's debut album 'Attention Deficit'. I have yet to play this masterpiece in it's entirety but from what I have heard it deserves those 4 stars it received in XXL maybe 4.5 and it's not because the song "Shades" describes my love life thus far haha. If you get the pleasure of being around me you will hear me mumble "play this song while you contemplate, contemplate, contemplate" over & over again. Lol for anybody that happens to check out this site (no one does..yet) I will tell you that this album deserves your $9.99 so go check it out, support my peer! In a couple years I will be working with him, hopefully .. wait no I WILL!!!

Ps: I will be telling you guys about a lot of artists you should spend your hard earned penny on so stay tuned!

"Do you fools listen to music or do you just skim through it?"- Jay-z

As a fan of music I'm very picky with what I listen to, everything that get's a spot on my 16gb iPod are either songs I love or songs that I need to listen to. So when it comes to new music that is not made from one of my favorite artists I am very skeptical "why does this fool deserve my attention?" but in most cases I like what I hear, which is good! When I listen to a song I listen to the lyrics & instrumental as a whole then make my decision on whether I like or dislike an artist. If an artist can draw in my attention within their first few lines then they've got a new listener but I have been swayed on numerous occasions after listening to a song in it's entirety. All I'm saying is don't knock it before you try it, hence the Jay-Z quote. It's okay to judge me but you can't dislike the music, it's undeniable. I'm sure that sounds cocky but I have faith in my talent and in this day & age people lack it. How do you listen to your music? Do you check for lyrics, the beat or is it the artist's charisma that get's you?

PS: I know the blog looks very plain, I kind of like it this way .. lets you focus more on the posts! :)

Very First Post!

I always wanted to have a blog but I figured it was far too complicated & it very well may be but seeing as I'm on winter break I figured I have the free time to update this frequently with everything Isaiah haha. If you just happen to come across this blog by accident I'll tell you a few things about myself .. I'm a: rapper, frequent sleeper, heavy procrastinator, avid pot head, comic book reader, anime fan, ex-sneaker head, retired hooper, lover of the ladies & an all around asshole/gentleman .. nice to meet you :]
